What does hot flushes have to do with your liver health?
I’m glad you asked…
Many complaints around hot flushes or night sweats is that they occur around the same time each night, waking you up in a pool of sweat and you suddenly need to strip off your bed sheets and take your PJ’s off because you feel like you are melting.
If this tends to occur between 12 midnight & 2am you can generally put that down to your liver being stressed. Often if you have had a big meal or over indulged in the alcohol or sugar department, your liver will really struggle to cope with cleaning all that food out over night so it heats up and wakes you up.
This is not necessarily to do with Menopause, so again to be place on some kind of HRT or medication to relief hot flushes means that you are treating the wrong cause. In fact more medication will only upset the liver more.
There are some fabulous liver health supplements available, and eating a diet high in leafy green vegetables will really help.
Of course the best thing for you to do is give your liver a break by staying off alcohol and sugary foods especially sugary drinks for at least 21 days to give your liver a good break.
A good quality liver detox supplement once a day taken before sleep for about a month is also very helpful.
Extreme hormonal imbalance though will need more long term support to get the liver working in harmony with the rest of the body again.
p.s. My Total Reset Program is good for this as it’s part of the 8 week process…
