Night sweats and panic attacks in the middle of the night can also be a sign of hormonal imbalance rather than menopause.
Some clients have reported waking up suddenly in the middle of the night in a pool of sweat and heart racing literally forcing them to jolt awake. This is actually a natural signal that the body sends to the adrenals to wake you up because your blood sugar has dropped to far.
Remembering that the brain feeds of blood glucose, in fact it can’t run on anything else. So the whole body is designed to trigger and emergency response if your blood sugar drops to low levels that are too low for the brain to function.
Now this could be a once of, situation where perhaps you haven’t eaten very well during the day, however generally if your body is at the stage where it is waking you up in the middle of the night with these kind of panic attacks, then I would strongly suggest that you get your blood sugar levels checked and start to eat a more balanced diet throughout the day.
