And you know when you go to those things you get all pumped up and set to change the world but often what happens is you get back to your mainstream living and life style and NORMAL happens.
Your routine reminds you of your old self and suddenly the seminar seems a distant memory.
Well this one was different for me.
Why – well I think because not only was I ready for change – I had come to a space in my life where I knew my old ways of thinking weren’t helping me anymore and I need something new but also because I decided to stay open minded.
The first interesting process was when T Harv Eker (the Millionaire Mind man) said that the three most dangerous words in the English language are “I know that”. At first I didn’t really get why they were so bad but then as time progressed I realised that all the thing I needed to change in myself and in my business were things that I thought I had known how to do. T.Harv Eker said that while your brain is telling you that you already know something it is keeping you in a place where you are reaching the same results and not going above and beyond what you need to do to gain a different result. Maybe it’s also keeping you from looking for help from someone else.
This is what drove it home for me.. It was really about accepting that I have strengths, but I also have weaknesses and those weaknesses were keeping me stuck because I was assuming that I could manage them myself. If you are ‘just managing’ with something it means you will only get ‘just manageable results’ so you will never really rise above the average place even if you are striving for the very best results.
I feel this works when trying to lose weight as well.
Many people try to lose weight by themselves, reading a diet in a magazine and ‘giving it a go’’ or using a diet mapped out for someone else just because it worked for them.
Perhaps you are sitting in a place where you feel you know ‘enough’ about food and health because you have heard a few things or read a few books when in fact that very information that is assumed knowledge may be what is stopping you from making changes.
My business is too valuable to me to just wing it for success so I am making the necessary changes and hiring the right people to help me do better – much much better.
How badly do you want to lose weight?
Is it worth investing in – hiring a professional or doing a course and spending some time learning about WHY your dieting isn’t working for you on a long term basis?
Don’t waste time wondering what it would be like to be healthy – take action and do something about it..
You’re worth it!
